Kellogg Brown and Root LLC (NYSE: KBR) (“KBR”) was engaged by the Company to provide an analysis and opinion of high level technical and cost review of the Company’s hydrogen technology that can be applied to eSAF deployments (the “Report”). The Report assessed Syntholene’s levelized cost of hydrogen (“LCOH”) methodology and conducted sensitivity analysis across key cost variables. KBR concluded that Syntholene’s likely LCOH is approximately US$1.75/kg H2 under best-case Iceland geothermal scenarios and approximately US$2.10/kg H2 under broad deployment.

Hydrogen is the dominant cost in synthetic aviation fuel production (IEA), and generating it at low cost is central to achieving cost competitive synthetic fuel. Recent unsubsidized estimates of comparable green hydrogen price averages across Europe were ~€$6.71/kg H2 ($US7.66) (EHO).

Notably, Syntholene’s LCOH target is lower than the most recent regionally comparable European benchmark for unabated fossil hydrogen produced with traditional Steam Methane Reforming (“SMR”), of which the European Hydrogen Observatory stated “the levelized production costs of hydrogen by SMR in Europe were, on average, ~€3.33/kg H2 (US$3.80) of hydrogen. (EHO)” when including the current cost of the European Carbon Price (ETS), this fossil derived Hydrogen benchmark increases the cost of SMR with carbon capture to ~€4.12/kg H2 (US$4.70).

The review further states that successful operation at Syntholene’s demonstration facility in Húsavík, Iceland (the “Demonstration Facility”) would provide key operating data related to efficiency, thermal integration, reliability and stack degradation.

The findings in the Report are based on a number of key assumptions using modelling and sensitivity analysis rather than commercial operating data or executed contracts. These assumptions include the Company’s access to advantaged geothermal resources and successful thermal integration. In addition, Syntholene’s LCOH estimate was based on 1200 kW size with US$1.2 million of capital expenditures, and an assumed electricity price of US$30/MWh. The Report also identifies primary risks, including electricity price variability, long-duration SOEC degradation, stack life assumptions, project-specific capital cost, and operating cost validation.

The Report identified several potential technical and commercial differentiators for Syntholene, including:

Integration of low-carbon geothermal electricity…

President Donald Trump is escalating his crusade for voter identification requirements after last week’s promise of an executive order to implement such a mandate before November’s midterm elections.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt in a briefing Wednesday said Trump is “discussing and exploring legal options for a potential executive order with respect to voter ID,” days after Trump said he would find a way to require voters to present identification across the U.S., “whether approved by Congress or not!”

Leavitt’s comments followed a Tuesday night Trump Truth Social post of an article about a local elected official urging the Georgia state government to take over voting in Fulton County, the target of a recent FBI raid and a precinct that Trump lost to Joe Biden in 2020. Trump is planning to travel to a different part of Georgia on Thursday to talk about the economy.

Trump’s recent fixation on elections and congressional Republicans’ willingness to largely fall in line are raising alarms for Democrats and voting rights groups, who see the recent moves as a potential existential threat to American elections and an extension of Trump’s past election denialism.

The topic has apparently been front of mind for the president. In a series of reposts on Truth Social that followed his initial post Wednesday, Trump shared unfounded claims about irregularities in the 2020 election.

“[Democrats] don’t want voter ID because they want to cheat at elections,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One on Monday. “If you had voter ID, if you had proof of citizenship, they could never win an election. And they know that. And they’re fighting them to the hilt.”

“When [Republicans] win an election, they win fair and square,” Rep. Greg Stanton, D-Ariz., said in an interview this week. “But then when they lose elections, Donald Trump likes to say it was based on fraud.”

Stanton is the chair of the New Democrat Coalition Action Fund, a political action committee that works to get moderate Democrats elected to the U.S. House. He called Trump’s threat to unilaterally impose voter ID requirements “purely bluster.”

Rep. Joe Morelle, D-N.Y., the top Democrat on the House Administration Committee, similarly said “the Constitution is pretty clear.”

Ionic Rare Earths Limited (“IonicRE” or the “Company”) (ASX: IXR) has received a vote of confidence in its global expansion strategy, successfully completing its Renounceable Rights Issue (“Rights Issue”) announced on 12 September 2025, closed on 9 October 2025 (“Closing Date”), and an additional Placement (“Placement”) which were strongly supported by existing and new shareholders.

Successful completion of the $6.1 million Renounceable Rights Issue, which closed heavily oversubscribed;

Follow-on $9.5 million Placement completed to accommodate excess demand, supported by domestic and international institutional investors;

$3 million strategic investment from U.S.-based Argentem Creek Partners, a specialist investment firm with a global presence and experience across the critical minerals, fintech and industrial sectors; and

Funds to support IonicRE’s global magnet recycling expansion, including development of Belfast magnet recycling plant, advancing Brazilian rare earths joint venture Viridion and other expansion opportunities across North America, Europe and Asia.

Amid an increased global focus on the rare earths sector, the Rights Issue raised approximately $6.1 million (before costs) and closed heavily oversubscribed. To accommodate some of the excess demand and secure new domestic and international institutional investors, the Company placed an additional $9.5 million (before costs), including the previously announced $1.125 million.

The Placement was completed on the same terms as the Rights Issue, with the new shares being issued at an issue price of 1.6 cents each. One option is being issued for every new share subscribed for (at no additional issue price) exercisable at 2.5 cents before 30 September 2028, with application for these options to be listed.

The placement was anchored by a $3 million strategic investment from U.S.-based Argentem Creek Partners (“Argentem”), a specialist investment firm with experience in critical minerals, energy transition plays, technology, and industrial sectors.

The global rare earths sector has received increased investor attention following China’s 9 October 2025 decision to further restrict access to rare earths, requiring both foreign and domestic companies to obtain special licences for the export of “dual-use items” with both civilian and military applications. In response, on 10 October, U.S. President Donald Trump announced an additional 100% tariff on Chinese imports, potentially starting from 1 November 2025.

IonicRE Executive Chairman, Mr Brett Lynch said he was delighted by the overwhelming response from investors to the Rights Issue and Placement and the strategic investment from Argentem.

“I would like to thank both new and existing investors for their tremendous support of the Rights Issue and Placement. They have delivered a huge vote of confidence in IonicRE and our global expansion strategy, as we build an industrial business at scale in developing secure and…
