Following the grant by the Italian Patent Office, a European Union patent application has already been filed under the Patent Cooperation Treaty

() revealed it has been granted an Italian patent for its Planar Thermal Circuit invention.

The patent covers the use of the G+ graphene circuit applied onto fabrics of any type. The fabric once treated is able to absorb body heat and move it from the hottest to the coldest point of the circuit, providing a significantly increased sense of comfort to the wearer or user.

The graphene nanoplatelets-based products developer said the patent covers the main features of the circuit that make it effective. Following the grant by the Italian Patent Office, a European Union patent application has already been filed under the Patent Cooperation Treaty.

“The grant of a patent for our Planar Thermal Circuit is a key step towards exploiting the very high potential of this invention. It can be exploited in every segment of textile, from apparel, including sportswear, workwear and luxury wear, to upholstery, interior design and industrial applications,” Giulio Cesareo, the founder and chief executive officer of Directa Plus said in a statement..
