The gold price may have receded from the new all-time high above AU$6,860.28 per ounce set in Q1, but the yellow metal was still trading at historic highs in the third quarter.

The gold bull market has been well-supported by a number of factors. Among them is the pervading geopolitical turmoil and global economic uncertainty driving elevated institutional and central bank gold buying.

The high gold price has boosted margins for gold producers, and investment in the sector has increased over the course of the year, pushing up share prices and interest in gold equities.

King River Resources is a gold exploration company with projects in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Its portfolio includes the Mindoolah gold project in Western Australia’s Murchison province, the Mount Remarkable gold project in the East Kimberley region and the Tennant Creek gold-copper project in the Northern Territory.

The company said the results suggest Mindoolah’s known gold occurrences form part of a broader system.

Then, on September 1, it reported mapping and sampling results across five prospects at Mindoolah, outlining three distinct styles of gold mineralisation and a pipeline of drill-ready targets. Rock chip samples from the Bertram’s prospect returned grades of up to 44.3 g/t gold, while samples from…
